Hey there … my name is Claire and I am a pattern designer based in the UK in Hertfordshire.
I have a passion for textile and pattern design and I’m crazy for all things fashion and interior design related. My designs are moody and ethereal. Inspired by nature and culture, I also love researching current trends from the catwalk and high street, and create trend boards to work from. ‘Playing’ with these ideas, I make them my own, using water colour, pencil, screenprint, pen, photography and collage. These are then scanned in and worked into a collage layout using photoshop and illustrator.
I have studied Interior Spatial Design at Chelsea College of Art and Design and I have a BA First Class Hons Degree in Illustration from The University of Hertfordshire.
I am currently freelancing, working with companies designing trend packs and patterns. I also design the children’s trends for the global pattern site Pattern Observer.
